There are so many options when it comes to dining in Lakes Entrance and its surrounds. With our easy take-aways, such as the usual McDonalds, KFC and Subway to our iconic fish and chips. Then there some wonderful dine in restaurants for you to try.
and so much more...
The Gippsland Lakes are very beautiful and quite unique. Take a walk along the shores, visit New Works at the entrance to the sea, check out our colony of seals or take in our view from the lookouts or sail our vast lake system with Lonsdale Eco Cruises or Peels Cruises.
You’ll hear a great deal about our wonderful area on both of them. Take our East Gippsland Rail Trail from Bairnsdale to Orbost on either, bike, horse or foot and have some time out with nature. Hire a boat and go fishing or fish from the jetty then come back and cook your catch. No bike or kayak…hire one from Venture Out. Swim in the ocean or our lakes…visit our wineries or food trail.
Ask our office manager for our local farm gates and cellar doors such as the Blueberry Fields, blueberry farm in Bumberrah or Nicholson River Winery. Treat yourself to a cooking class at Culinaire Cooking School or visit their delicious produce shop in Swan Reach. Grab some fresh seasonal fruit in Johnsonville at the Fruit Farm and wash it all down with a beer at the Bullant Brewery in Bruthen and or a wine at Tambo Wines. And of course there are our wonderful caves at Buchan to visit.
Best book for a couple of weeks we think…you will be so pleased you did.
